After spending two days in berlin... visiting attractions on foot, train and the bicycle... I found the city having a unique flavor... the past is still lingering. I met an old man (who has grandchildren) who was with his wife... he told me he was visiting east berlin for the first time in his life, even though he lived in west berlin... but he left west berlin to go to western germany when he was a child... it is only today that he managed to visit places he could only dream off... behind the old berlin walls...
